The Gambia hosted the 2026 African Caucus Meeting from 6–8 July 2026 at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre (SDKJICC).
The high-level gathering brought together African Ministers of Finance, Central Bank Governors, representatives of the World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, African Development Bank and other development partners.
The meeting provided a platform for discussions on Africa’s economic priorities, investment, innovation, inclusion and sustainable development.
Hosting the African Caucus also highlighted The Gambia’s growing capacity to host major international meetings, conferences and high-level delegations.
The event was held under the theme:
“Transforming Africa’s Economies through Investment, Innovation, and Inclusion.”
The hosting of such international gatherings continues to strengthen The Gambia’s visibility as a destination for diplomacy, conferences and international cooperation.
