Scholarship Students Depart for Hungary
Recipients of the Hungarian Government Scholarship have departed The Gambia to begin their studies in Hungary, marking the next stage of their academic journey.
The Office of the Honorary Consul of Hungary to The Gambia is pleased to share the departure of this year’s recipients of the Hungarian Government Scholarship as they begin their studies in Hungary.
The students recently shared their farewell photographs as they prepared to leave The Gambia, bringing to a close the final stage of their preparations and marking the beginning of an important new academic and cultural experience.
Earlier in the process, the Office of the Honorary Consul provided the students with guidance on the Hungarian visa application procedure ahead of their travel to Accra, Ghana. There, they completed the necessary requirements at the Embassy of Hungary, including the submission of their applications, biometrics and orientation from the Embassy’s Consular Section.
This year’s students form the second cohort, continuing from the successful experience of the first group last year.
Their departure represents not only an important personal milestone for each student, but also the continued educational links between Hungary and The Gambia through the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme.
The Office of the Honorary Consul congratulates the students and wishes them safe travels and every success as they begin their studies and experience life in Hungary.
